Up for sale are 6 prototypes of the PL(Ti)PS, a titanium version of the PLTPS that weighs 55.3grams. Titanium is much heavier than aluminum, so a lot of work went into making this yo-yo feel on the lighter side. The hubs are titanium and the outer shells are polycarbonate rings (rather than the original POM rings).
A few other notes:
- These prototypes do not include a counterweight.
- I do not have any photos to show you, just the attached sketch.
- The colors should be raw titanium and clear polycarbonate (but that might change depending on available materials).
- This is version one of the proto.
- If the PL(Ti)PS does get a full manufactured run, the cost is expected to be around $180-200 per unit.
- As this is a prototype, other changes (such as weight, width) may change too.
